Join Us
We’re always looking for new faces to join the Players. Creating entertaining shows for our community requires many hands both on and off stage. You don’t need to have any special skills to get involved, just a commitment to getting the show on the stage and having fun!
Roles
We aim to put on two shows a year and each one needs actors, stage hands, set builders and painters, lighting, costumes, make-up, publicity, front of house etc. In short, there is a role for everyone regardless of whether they are more comfortable on stage or off. If you are interested in theatre or simply want to try something new and be part of a fun, friendly team, get in touch.​
Auditions
Open auditions for main roles in upcoming productions are held approximately one month before rehearsals are due to begin and are advertised on the website, our social media pages and in our newsletter. If you’d like to hear about audition dates, join our mailing list.​
Rehearsals
Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings between 7-9pm at the Minchinhampton Market House and usually start about three months before the performance dates.
Membership
The Players is a membership organisation where all participants in productions pay an annual membership fee. These fees provide a contribution to production costs and ensure we meet our insurance obligations. Current fees for adults are £35 per year. Find out more about what is included here.
